Speaking Out with Confidence & Effectiveness
“Success in life is often dependent on your ability to communicate well, expressing your ideas so that they are heard, understood and acted upon.”
Communication is all around us but is it effective? We all have opinions but can we express these with conviction? We are asked to “say a few words” but can we deliver these coherently? Speaking up in public is a common fear whether giving a business presentation or speaking at a work meeting or a community club.
Jane Cameron is an Association Trainer for Speakers Bank and delivers communication workshops to the community and voluntary sectors. She is an Executive member of Toastmasters International, the largest international organisation committed to confident communication (not to be confused with professional Association of Toastmasters). Jane also works as a consultant providing market research and strategic planning, primarily in the food and drink sectors. She lives in Prestwick, where she enjoys sailing and walking (both in fair-weather).
Jane will deliver her ten Top Tips for confident communication will present the three elements of effective speaking and she might even “Turn the Tables”, a positive and encouraging interactive communication session.
The evening will commence at 6.30pm for networking followed by a 2 course meal served just after 7.00pm The networking event will follow the meal. Cost is £20 for members and £25 for non-members.
