I am writing this, my final letter as Chair, with my leg in Plaster having slipped on ice last week and broken my leg in two places.  I can only say that the attention I received from all the different departments in Ayr Hospital was excellent and I am now at home being looked after by my family.  Our first meeting of 2009 The Speed Networking Event was a great evening, giving everyone present the opportunity to talk about their business.  It was great to welcome some new guests to our event, hopefully the start of many more new people to be welcomed to AABW.   As you know our February Meeting being held on 24 February  will start with the AGM and this will be followed by Christine Thom of Action Coach.  We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that your membership is due for renewal and renewal forms are included with this letter.   As I mentioned at the start of the letter, this will be my final letter as chair and I would firstly like to thank the hardworking committee, Liz, Marilyn, Karen and Margaret, who backed me over the last three years.  We have worked hard but also had a lot of fun along the way.  I have made a lot of new contacts through this time and look forward to continuing as an active member of AABW.   I send my very best wishes to you all.
